Mc Sundial

Nifty little changing billboard ad, would it be as good if it was simply a mains powered clock? Is it just a gimmick to use a sun dial??

Elementary Branding

Elements of branding

A warm(ish) welcome to branding, from branding experts Kolbrener, in the form of everyone's favourite periodic table. Seems like it's been referenced as a popular graphic format for a long time now (1, 2, 3), perhaps our fondest memory of the Periodic table is the schooltime discovery of The Elements Song...

City cat

Recent online ad we made for www.one-uk.co.uk.
The story of a little kitty that just wants to move to the city.
Written, animated and yes, sung by us!
Hope you enjoy.

Design Observer

Wow, we have been mentioned on the amazing Design Observer by Michael Bierut from the even more amazing Pentagram.
We have also been lucky enough to have had our site mentioned on lots of other sites, Notcot, the German Nerdcore, from Japan Akihitok and The Stlye Press to name a few. James & Joe are now truly global.

Vomit live on air (don't play if eating)

"A Swedish television presenter took standards of professionalism to a new level after she vomited live on air but continued with the show.

Eva Nazemson was hosting a late night phone-in game show on TV4 Plus when she suddenly took ill.

As a male caller tried to solve a word puzzle, Nazemson quickly turned her head to one side and vomited.

She disappeared off screen for a few seconds but quickly reappeared to continue with the phone-in.

Most viewers no doubt suspected she was recovering from a heavy drinking session but Eva was quick to clarify the reason for her sudden sickness.

She said: “I'm having period pains and they can make you feel really sick.""

Sorry but we just thought you all had to see that, not nice at all.

Catacombs of Paris

Spent a week in Paris recently and came across the amazing Catacombs. You walk for ages underground in claustrophobic tunnels, then emerge into spaces walled with bones. Something really different.

Tasty CV

Sweet idea to get noticed. Found this on the W+K London Blog
Only thing is it looks pretty dull and tasteless.
what about 2 tasty creatives and a cake in the shape of James & Joe? I'm sure you could push the idea further, might have a think about this one.
A weblog about life at wieden + kennedy london.

Fleethorse

This has to be some kind of viral. It cannot be serious. Just image 10 ton of horse flying towards you as you slam head on into another car & just think of the smell.
Please please please look at the site.

Cum*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We have liked Cum*'s work for a while now, I think its there raw, dirtiness. We don't think they are to everyones taste, but they get our "creative" juices flowing.
They are definitely on the list of people we would love to work with.

Fingerboard

When i was at school, everyone used to love a bit of finger boarding. On the desks, chairs, ginger kids head, etc etc.

Vincent Laforet

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I've know about this technique for a while now, but thought i'd pop it up here so you guys could take a peek. I'm sure we will start seeing it used in advertising soon.
"Very nice photography of sport events. Using infocus in a wide shot with strong out of focus Vincent Laforet shows you the event in a way you couldn't see in reality. It makes you want to interfere, replacing the people like pawns as if the scene is right there on a table in front of you."
To see some more check out Vincent's site.

"Marc Ecko wants to promote his roots and love for graffiti. Digital citylights are created that consists of an LCD and a bluetooth interface. People will get the possibility to access the citylight via bluetooth with their cell phones and spray their own graffiti with the cursor of their phone."
Things are getting interesting, maybe i need to get a mobile that works so i can get a piece of the action.

Soho no-go

Example
" SOHO NO-GO
PEOPLE walking past three rogue strip clubs are getting TEXT MESSAGES warning them to stay out.
Westminster council started the scheme yesterday in a bid to close down Soho's "clips joints". Anyone withing 30 meters gets a text on their mobile via Bluetooth, saying: "Dont enter." [The Sun, 01/09/07]

Thought this was a very interesting yet invasive use of new technology. Will everyones texts be full of ads the same as our emails from now on?
