Cyriak

Cyriak is a Brighton Based animator whose warped animations have probably mashing your melon somewhere on the internet before, whether you knew it or not.
Apparently his videos are an attempt to visualizes the insane world inside his head, and we love it.
One day I hope we might be lucky enough to collaborate with this young man from my seaside.
Check out a collection of his greatest fits below.

Change the world

We found this on Love's blog who found it on In My Atmosphere "the thoughts and observations of a nameless 26 year-old planner in Australia" and also noticed it on Stan Lee's blog.
Who ever found it first, we say its pretty cool/clever. U LIKE?

Cadbury’s Airport Trucks

A section of the beautifully awkward trucks race clumsily down a deserted runway in the dead of night to the pumping sounds of Queen, all in the name of Cadburys.

The problem with the huge successes of the drumming Gorilla is we are all waiting with baited breath for the next installment. We are all eager to compare the new with the old. We considered the last ad to be very special, maybe even a pivotal point in advertising, we could feel change in our waters. This ad is a great ad, its fun, its exciting, its fast, its shot brilliantly, however it could never really be better than the Gorilla, but we still love it!
We look forward to hearing peoples reactions to Fallons new creation, and look forward to it being a most pleasant interruption during Coronation Street and Ready Steady Cook.

Find out more from Fallon themselves , or on the Glass and a half full site.

Transport for London - Awareness test

It may not be as fun or shocking as some of the other THINK (& Transport for london) adverts but we do think its a neat little way to deliver the message, if you make the effort to actually play along.
You can visit the Do The Test mini site to send it on and find out a little more info.

Perfect paper airplane flight

A basic yet stunning video following the flight of a simple paper airplane. It's probably unlikely, however if this was the only take, and we had thrown it, with the perfection of the slow decent and delicate landing, it would have made us cry.

Coke Zero finger that farts onto a tongue.

An eye that pulls a finger that farts onto a tongue, amazing! The ad looks stunning aswell, the animation is crisp and smooth, and the lighting is nice and pale.

Sticks & Balls

sticks & balls By Jacqueline Wright and Alice Lowe/ 2007
Great video and even better song. Who would have thought golf could be so god darn sexy!
The film was made on a Super 8 video camera without any editing, yes, it was shot exactly how you see it, how refreshing..
Found on www.straight8.net a site dedicated to this sort of S8 no edit production, thanks again to Craig Kind.

2007 a Year in Ideas

The New York Times Magazine illustrates the Year in Ideas as it wraps up some of the more interesting and amazing developments of the past 12 months. Once energy is wireless we really will have a wireless world.

Advertising, the new Graffiti

I'm not 100% with all the ideas these guys have but I really do think there is something in ad's being the new graffiti. But hasnt graffiti always been a form of advertising?
If you want to explore the argument more say hello to the people at anti advertising agency.com.

Students today

Interesting video asking the relevance of some of the current teaching methods in Universities.
Are they really relevant to the way we live our lives today? Should we have ditched the chalkboard years ago? Has some nice Facebook stats.

Michel Gondry Solves a Rubiks Cube with his Nose

I love that he has embraced the youtube generation, and is having fun with it.
This is a followup from
Michel Gondry: Rubik's cube

Once apon a time in the woods

I thought the idea of drawing over every frame of a crappy video phone recording of some chat you had with your kid about tree's to be really great. I was surprisingly moved by the drawings, but am not sure if i might like the film shot normal just as much. I love the pointlessness of one sweet moment, that passed and didn't really mean anything. All of a sudden it means something. ( don't think any of that made sense, sorry)

Red

Reminiscent of a project we did all about the colour red, where we described the experience of viewing "Red" to a blind person. I doubt this video would serve the same purpose but still a good reference.

The Mill - Bob Monkhouse

The Mill have bought Bob back to life!!!! With computer magic he is here talking about his death and what killed him,,, freaky, I'm sure he would have loved it though.
They also made those wicked new Orange ad's and this great pillow fight ad.
