Office Space

A selection of photo's from 12 workplaces that run some of the web's most popular sites...

The Flickr Office

...Not all looking quite as plush as you might've hoped.

We never liked the shell anyway

A rather bizarre email forwarded to us, the subject read "How to pack 500 more eggs".

Email body: "Raw shell-less eggs individually packaged in vacuum plastic pockets that keeps them fresh for longer. The egg can be cooked in the sachet which determines its shape."

Fantastic, no longer will our storage space be wasted on eggs

(Cheers for the 'heads up' Jack)

A Certain Ratio - "Do the Du"

Music is made for dancing to, so if you want to make a cheap video, just dance.
His kid has some killer moves, and the tunes not bad either.

Juan Francisco and his Biro

We haven't been able to find out much about this artsist. All we know is that both these amazing images are created with only one tool, the humble Biro.
We wondered if each was the result of a very long telephone doodle.
We love it when people create amazing things with such unexpected equipment.

Save today, Save tomorrow, EDF Energy

More than anything the best thing about this advert is the line at the end "This commercial is made from recycled film clips", brilliant.
"This is the first time EDF Energy has ever aired a TVC. Which is part of a full scale multi-media advertising campaign that goes live on Sunday (6 January 2008) with this 60 sec TV advert made entirely from recycled film clips.
The soundtrack featured in the advert, "It's Not Easy Being Green", has been adapted from the original version written by Joe Raposo for Sesame Street in 1970. In this case the song is used to highlight that while it may be difficult to change behaviour over night, it's up to all of us to become part of the solution in helping combat climate change"

If James was called Richard and Joe called Judy, and we had a book club, David Grant would be the first author we would make an instant millionaire. His Book Elephant is a truly brilliant read, "the novel is hilarious, compelling and despicable".
Elephant is also in a list of 100 books chosen for the Spread the Word promotion for World Book Day and its needs your vote!
