987 polaroids

Amazing video, heres what they say about it.
"An experiment to exploit the single frames that make up an animated film and explore the emotions of the creative process. Created with 987 polaroids and no computer compositing."

A really innovative and engaging piece of digital work. Really liked the concept of exploring the single frames that make up a moving image, almost turning the process on animation on it's back. They have really engaged and thought about the execution of theidea and have pushed their creativity past simply making a moving image out of a series of still photographs which was what I was expecting - thought has gone into the direction and compositions of the shots and it moves smoothly from one part to another. Inspiring - and makes you wonder what other effects you could achieve using a similar technique/approach.

I really like the absense of digital work here, what makes this piece really interesting is that each frame has been thought out and then produced to create a narrative in photographs.

My favourite part is where the character falls over and splits into different polariods and then pulls himself back together into one single polariod shot. Genius!

Wow. Just wow. I wish I had thought of that! Polaroid film is damn expensive. They must have had some willing backers!
