Make your own

Click to Play!
Having spent many an hour workin on animation, it's nice to take a breather and try out something a bit simpler than Flash! This page allows you to fill in spaces that represent parts of the 'body' - which are then processed to be animated. Simple.
Just don't expect any 'Pixar' standard results!

Michel Gondry Solves a Rubiks Cube with his Nose

I love that he has embraced the youtube generation, and is having fun with it.
This is a followup from
Michel Gondry: Rubik's cube

Once apon a time in the woods

I thought the idea of drawing over every frame of a crappy video phone recording of some chat you had with your kid about tree's to be really great. I was surprisingly moved by the drawings, but am not sure if i might like the film shot normal just as much. I love the pointlessness of one sweet moment, that passed and didn't really mean anything. All of a sudden it means something. ( don't think any of that made sense, sorry)

Banksy

Example
Was browsing and found this drawing of Banksy's, I liked it, thought i was funny, maybe i just like the people. the drawing seems to have a freshness to it that some of the paintings now lack, probably no fault of Banksy's just the amount of times we have all seen them around. Even my dad has stared to buy up Banksy's now, because of there massive growth in value.
I know he gets allot of stick these days and it's no longer "cool" to like his work, however i respect the man for being such a huge success, his work still bring a smile to my face.

Alex Bec

Example
Another talented young man to come from the university of Brighton, it must be something to do with that sea air and men in tight trousers. He doesn't seem to have produced a bad piece of work in a while now, and we admire his hands on approach.
Please check out his site

And a great little project by Alex & Will Hudson that you must all go out and buy.

Sarah seems to be really involved with her work, and similar to us in the way she views herself in the work.
It looks as though she has fun creating the work and is fun generally as a person. There is also some very interesting work.
And she's from brighton...

Example
Some really nice, ruff illustrations, as if found on a street wall. Not sure why but when looking at them i think of the cartoons on ice cream vans.. lovely little works.
Really glad i've found these.

OK Go - Here It Goes Again

Four band members 'dance' on eight treadmills. How many takes do you think it took?

Well choreographed, and watchable. very watchable - so elegant but for the fact it is what it is.
